I’m waiting for the hotel shuttle in Boise. I just came from the I90 Aerospace Conference. Tomorrow is the TECH DAY 2016 conference in Boise.
Today’s conference was an excellent opportunity to understand the aerospace cluster’s view of the universe. Interesting presenters from Boeing, aerospace parts suppliers, politicians and a host of others provided a day of industry analysis and advice.
TECH DAY 2016 Boise is tomorrow. It will bring design and manufacturing companies together along with education, to take a deep dive into the technology and processes that are taking place in industry and this region. With detailed breakout sessions, food and drinks, guest speakers and a great manufacturing story or two, this should be fun.
We are excited to share several some big news at these events:
We are very pleased to announce at these events our new partner and 3D printer manufacturer, Sindoh. Quest Integration is an authorized Sindoh 3DWOX printer reseller for the entire Pacific Northwest.
Why this printer? What are we bringing to the table? What does it mean to you?
This is a $1295 3D printer that will do for 3D printing industry what $3,995 SOLIDWORKS did for the 3D CAD industry in the 90’s. Most manufacturers will now have, for the first time, a cost efficient, incredibly useful 3D printing tool for their design and sales efforts. Designers wanting a home unit for truly professional performance and results will have a cost effective, supported solution.
While operational as a stand-alone, the big payoff is integrating this into our SOLIDWORKS/DASSAULT SYSTEMES solution. This an excellent addition to the growing end to end single data model concept our customers are able to achieve.
Best of all, Quest stands behind it and our support team is ready to assist. For those of you new to Quest support, realize support means:
- Hardware support
- Installation support
- Materials advice
- Model set-up and run advice
- Software support and advice
- Implementation and provider advice
- Vendor Support
All at no additional cost as part of your SOLIDWORKS subscription.
Additionally, Sindoh’s plans for future education-based printers fits with our Quest for Success Educational Initiative. We work with hundreds of schools throughout the region. Getting 3D printing into the schools expands our commitment to help build your manufacturing ecosystem’s homegrown, technically adept workforce.
Finally, it’s the approach they have taken with Quest and our customers. David Hwang, Global Strategic Partner Manager, had come to spend a week with our team here in Idaho. Training our engineers, working with our marketing and business development teams, he provided an excellent opportunity to develop this partnership and give it every chance of immediate and long standing success. We in turn introduced him to our neck of the woods, met with customers, treated them to elk burgers (thanks to the great hunter J.H.) and was pleased to host them in our booth today.
Ok, time to post this, I understand the team is already in Boise and the dinner tab has already started. Hope to see you at the shows.
