The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for developing, maintaining and growing client relationships through conscientious telephone and internet techniques. The ISR is often the first employee to communicate with prospects/customers. The ISR is responsible for the initial stages of the sales cycle, including: gathering customer and prospect information, qualifying leads, passing opportunities to the field, and following up with customers.

Specific job duties include:

  • Actively prospecting through business-to-business (B2B) phone calls.
  • Scheduling sales and technical demo appointments with customers and prospects.
  • Maintaining an upbeat and professional attitude.
  • Responding to incoming calls from prospective customers.
  • Inviting prospective customers to seminar and conference events.
  • Outbound calling on marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Discussing features and benefits of our products and services over the telephone and Internet.
  • Utilizing and maintaining an accurate contact database.
Minimum Requirements:


1 -3 years high-tech sales, or B2B sales experience.


Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.


We're looking for someone with a strong desire to work in sales and an excitement about making B2B calls. The best candidate is also professional, positive, and excels in a team environment.

  • One to three years of B2B calling, high tech telemarketing and customer service experience.
  • Ability to prospect over the phone for new accounts.
  • Consistent track record of inside sales related achievement.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop good product knowledge to properly position a technical product.
  • 2 or more solid employment references from relevant sources
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone, computer and follow-up skills.
  • Experience with contact database software, such as programs like ACT or Goldmine, is required.
  • Knowledge of the CAD, engineering, or related industries and products is a big plus.
